We developed a comprehensive link building strategy that focused on building high-quality, relevant backlinks from authoritative websites in the cannabis industry. When we were conducting the research we realised that there weren’t enough websites in the Cannabis space, so we compiled a list of health and fitness and news websites. Our strategy included the following tactics:
Research and Outreach to Relevant Websites: We conducted extensive research to identify authoritative websites in the cannabis industry that could potentially link back to our client’s website. To broaden our list, we also compiled a list of health and fitness and news websites. We then developed a targeted outreach plan to engage with these websites and secure high-quality backlinks.
Guest Posting: We developed high-quality guest posts on relevant topics and submitted them to reputable websites in the cannabis industry. These guest posts included backlinks to our client’s website (87% do follow links), which helped to improve their search engine rankings and drive more traffic to their site.
Mentions: We identified brand mentions on high quality websites that were not linking back to our client’s website and got in touch asking them to link back. We got a 59% success rate. That resulted in 33 additional high quality links which would have been lost if we did not do the outreach. Easiest and cheapest links for any link building campaign.
3 Way Link Swaps: This is a simple but effective strategy. We sent outreach emails to websites in relevant industries with DR 50+ and at least 20K+ traffic and ask them for a paid guest post with at least 5 links on the article. Then we outreach to another batch of websites with similar metrics, asking them if they would like a link from a high authority site in exchange for a link to our client’s website. This campaign alone landed 63 high quality links
